YouTube on Android TV: The worst news is on the way!

We spend a nice evening on the couch with our Android TV and watch YouTube videos. Suddenly, when we decide what to see next, we get a surprise. It’s just that a person starts yelling at us out of nowhere. Did we do something? No, it’s just the next addition from YouTube to the Android TV platform. The preview will play automatically.

When this new feature is active, the video we are going through with our command will start playing immediately as reported by the 9to5Google website. If our volume is a bit high and we don’t expect this surprise, it can turn into a great horror.

However, the videos will continue to play for a while until the sound starts to fade and the video stops. Well, by the way, it made perfect sense that the beginning of the sound should be like this, too.

Anyone who isn’t the biggest fan of this behavior is good news. It is that it can be disabled. For this we have to go to YouTube settings and find a button that says Preview with sound. Then we just hang up. Switching it off not only deactivates the audio, but the preview system remains unchanged. In other words, it’s good news.

There is also more news in the YouTube ecosystem.

It’s definitely one of those things that we need a lot. Especially in the morning and when the start is more expensive. That said, YouTube Music just got an adrenaline mode that gives us instant energy in the morning or when we need it most. It’s also great for the gym. After the modes that allow us to stay focused or relaxed on YouTube Music, we now have the energy function.

The site 9to5Google has discovered this novelty, which is already coming to the app for Android and iOS. In the American version, it appears as the last option in the activity bar on the main screen. Around here, it’s the second option and it’s called self-energizing. However, it joins others like Relax, Travel to work, Focus and Training.

However, this option is not currently available in custom mixes. It already appears out there, and even with several different mixes. Examples of this are the Energy Super Mix and Mixes 1, 2, 3.

However, in the iOS version we can already see this change. Not on Android yet. It’s not surprising, however. All of these releases are staggered and so it may still take some time to reach all of them.
