Right from the start, this new cooling solution is twice as effective as the Vapor Chamber technology found in some of the best smartphones on the market. The Loop LiquidCool system thus uses a capillary effect that attracts the liquid coolant to the heat source, evaporates it and gives off all of the heat.
The advantages of this technology
If for some reason it looks a lot like Vapor Chamber technology, it’s because it really is. However, there are a few differences that make LiquidCool a lot more efficient. Is that the new technology uses two channels to separate the liquid from the gases. Steam chambers, on the other hand, only use one channel, which makes them less efficient.
Another crucial part of the new system is the installation of a Tesla valve frame in the refill chamber. It has two tasks: to let the liquid pass through the evaporation system and to prevent the gases from doing so. The company claims that the Tesla valve structure makes the new cooling system in the gas / liquid cycle more efficient.
In addition, the Loop LiquidCool technology has a ring-shaped pump which, thanks to a special gas pipe design, can reduce the air flow resistance by 30%. At the same time, it increases the maximum heat transfer capacity to 100%. In other words, it’s really awesome!
To show the advantages of this technology, Xiaomi placed it in a custom Mi Mix 4. The results are impressive! When the normal model heats up to 47.7 degrees, the maximum temperature with this technology has risen to 8 degrees! Yes it is really true. This is a big revolution for the smartphone market.
