Windows 11: new update causes shame, but can fix it!

The new update for Windows 11 causes shame among users. When we install it, we’re left with an unresponsive Start menu, a blocking taskbar, Windows settings that won’t open, and as if that wasn’t enough, other sections are fraught with problems. This situation affects all users who have Windows 11 Build 22000.17 or Build 22449 installed but are able to fix it.

Windows 11: new update causes shame, but can fix it!

There are currently many problems to report on the Microsoft Feedback Hub and various Internet forums. However, to calm things down, there already seems to be a solution.

It is not clear how far the problem is. That is, when a lot of people have problems with the Start menu or when situations arise more frequently in other parts of the operating system. In any case, most reports speak of a black start menu. But there are more testimonies. “After restarting the computer, it became very slow and the taskbar is stuck”.

Restarting the machine does not help. However, it is also said that some keyboard shortcuts have stopped working. Other problems speak of an invalid context menu.

How can this problem be solved?

Open the Task Manager using the traditional method, that is, using the CTRL + Alt + Del keys. Then make sure that the More details option is checked.

Then click on File. Then do a new task. Enter cmd in the Open field.

Now on the command line, copy and paste the following command:

reg delete HKCU SOFTWARE Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion IrisService / f && shutdown -r -t 0

Press enter. The computer will restart and the taskbar will reappear.

If you still cannot access the Start menu, taskbar, or settings, you can remove the update.

Open the Task Manager with the keys Ctrl + Alt + Del.

Then click on File. Then do a new task. Type control panel and press OK.

Then navigate to Programs and Features and check out the installed updates. Find and remove the KB5006050 update.

But there are other types of weird fixes that seem to work too. For example, changing the clock to a different time seems to help.

Electric cars: what is the “real” battery wear and tear?

As electric cars have become increasingly popular in recent years, especially now that fossil fuel prices are reaching prohibitive levels, we need to look at some of the potential problems with an electric vehicle … Namely in the area of the battery!

Because while the maintenance costs of an electric car are now of course significantly lower than those of a car with a combustion engine (combustion engine), the longevity of batteries remains an issue that needs to be discussed.

In the end, all batteries will have a small degradation when charging and discharging. But is that such a serious problem? In the past, yes! But now? Not really.

Let’s do it gradually.

Electric cars: what is the “real” battery wear and tear?

Therefore, all batteries lose capacity with use, regardless of whether they are smartphone batteries or electric car batteries. Well … how long does it take to reach a certain level of degradation? This already depends on several factors, from the basic components of the cell to its use in daily life.

To sum it up, we have 4 big factors:

  • Fast loading
  • surroundings
  • Use (KM)
  • Time (age)

Fast loading

  • Fast charging can degrade the battery faster. However, the degree of degradation is not as high as some experts would have us believe. According to a very interesting study, we have the example of 4 Nissan Leafs, 2 were charged with just 3.3 kWh, while the other 2 were charged over 50 kWh stations. Well, at 65,000 KMs the Leafs loaded quickly and showed only a 3% higher degradation.

  • Batteries suffer greatly from the ambient temperature, especially when it is too low (the same thing happens when it is too high, but modern cars already have complex and efficient cooling systems in this case). By the way, in case you didn’t know, your electrical autonomy is greater on hot days than on cold days.

  • This is obvious, but the more you use the battery, the more deterioration you will experience in the end. According to Tesla’s calculations, the Model 3 will lose 5% of its “juice” in the first 40,000 KM.

Time / age

  • This is also obvious, especially when we consider the particular model. For example, a first generation Nissan Leaf loses 35% of its battery capacity after 8 years. However, this is one of the first models known for this bug. The latest models with new cooling systems no longer have these values.

We finally have daily use! Care should be taken with the battery of an electric car, just as it is with a diesel or gasoline car.

So it’s always a good idea to keep the battery between 40% and 80% charged. It’s a good idea to leave your car in a garage instead of leaving it on the street in extreme heat or cold.

It’s also a good idea to use the car’s charge controller to instantly turn on the AC while it’s plugged into the charger so as not to put too much strain on the cold battery.

Nowadays every electric car has a warranty of 8 years or a fixed number of KM (100k ~ 200k) if the battery drops below 70%. A great deal of security for everyone who is buying an electric car now, whether new or used.

But you have to take something into account. Batteries are much more advanced today, especially if we compare them to the electric or hybrid cars from 10 years ago.

Galaxy S22 Ultra relies on “water drop” cameras

Despite all the rumors that point to a delay, it looks like it won’t be long before Samsung announces its new Galaxy S22 range of smartphones! That range, which of course will have the flagship, is the new S22 Ultra.

Well, we are about 3 months away from the official launch, but today we already have access to some renders that show us a lot of what Samsung has developed in its laboratories. Especially in the area of rear-view cameras.

Galaxy S22 Ultra relies on “water drop” cameras

So in the S22 Ultra space, we’ve had some design conflicts, with some experts pointing to one side while others pointing to an entirely different side.

But … it is very likely that this is the way. At least according to Super Roader, a well-known South Korean source in the smartphone world.

In short, Samsung wants water drop cameras on its S22 Ultra. Interestingly, this all seems to pay homage to LG Velvet.

This means we won’t have an “island” of cameras as usual, as Samsung prefers a more similar design to that already used in the Galaxy A range of smartphones.

Obviously, the cameras of the S22 Ultra will stand out more due to the size of the sensor and optics used. After all, smartphones like the A32 do not have lenses designed for zoom, while the S22 Ultra will have two telecameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom.

As already mentioned, the waterdrop design reminds us of the very curious LG Velvet. A smartphone that tried to differentiate itself from anything we could find on the shelves. An excellent idea! With LG pulling out of this market, Samsung can use its disappearance to differentiate itself from other brands.

Matrix: Morpheus won’t return because he died in a game!

If you’ve reached your expectations of seeing Matrix Ressurections, you’ve probably seen the trailer a couple of times already! Once a year the saga was in theaters without grace. This trailer shows the return of Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), but leaves out Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus).

This is where you’re probably thinking that the actor turned down the role, or that the project team thought she was too old or out of shape to get back into the saga. But the reason is a lot simpler and actually a lot more silly. Morpheus is dead in the Matrix universe!

Morpheus is not returning to the Matrix because he died in an unknown game

So we have known since 2019 that Morpheus would not be back. But of course there is always a glimmer of hope in the hearts of real fans. And indeed, seeing a Matrix without that character turns out to be an incomplete experience for all the potential that return brings to the table.

But let’s get down to business … What do you mean?

Well, the actor had to answer that question himself and said:

  • “I’m not in the new film. You have to ask Lana Wachowski why! I have no answer to that question. “

This gives the impression that the actor wasn’t even addressed. Do you know why? Morpheus died in an almost unknown game called Matrix Online.

Matrix Online is an MMO spin-off that was released back in 2005. Interestingly, this game had the big goal of continuing to tell the story of this legendary saga.

Well, during the game that takes place after the events of The Matrix Revolutions, Morpheus returns to the Matrix to speak to the Oracle. To be clear, you understand why Neo’s body was not returned from the machines despite the apparent truce between the two parties.

Frustrated by the events, Morpheus tries to virtually restore Neo in order to somehow revive him. A project that fails and results in the character going straight to the machines to recover the body of “The Chosen One”. A request that is again denied.

After all of this, Morpheus turns into some sort of terrorist who detonates “code bombs” all over the Matrix in an attempt to force the machines to comply with his request. However, this only resulted in the appearance of “Assassin,” a machine-created program to eradicate Morpheus from the face of the earth.

In short, the new Matrix is a sequel to the original saga, and since the game is “Cannons” there is no Morpheus for anyone.
