Windows 11: all the tricks to get the most of it!

Windows 11 has arrived and it is not wrong to say that it is very successful. Just look at the huge number of users who have already installed the preview version. Interestingly, it’s a slightly different version than the other betas. In practice, however, it is already very mature, because there has already been a lot of tests. This means that while it’s not a final version, it works really well. If you have Windows 11 installed and want to continue with it, here are a few tricks to get the most from the operating system.

Windows 11: all the tricks to get the most of it!

Get the new Microsoft Store Store for Windows 11

Go to Windows Search and start typing Microsoft Store. Then open the Microsoft store.

As you can see, it’s still in the old version.

Then click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the shop. Then click on the Download and Updates option.

Then click Get Updates in the new window.

Now you have to wait for the process to finish.

But beware. It looks like this system is just updating the XBOX Live In-Game Experience app and it just sits there, but in reality it will update a lot of things.

After following these steps and reopening the store, you should already have access to the new store.

Note that this doesn’t seem to work on all computers. So don’t worry if the new store doesn’t appear soon.

Faster Play: This is a number of tricks to get even the most out of Windows 11.

First of all, we have a dedicated gamer mode in the new Windows 11 settings.

First, let’s go to the Start menu, which is now centered, and select the Settings option.

Now we need to select Gaming on the left and then select Game Mode on the right.

Now we have to activate the game mode in the new window. This increases the gaming performance of your PC right from the start.

Also, use dedicated software for Nvidia and AMD graphics

If you have an Nvidia graphics card, install the available GeForce Experience software here. The software is available for AMD cards here.

You can use these applications to ensure that you have the latest drivers installed. You can even customize the graphics settings for each game and adjust the graphics performance.

Use the Auto HDR function

This is something Microsoft has invested a lot in. So it’s a feature announced with Windows 11 that can make colors a lot more interesting on some devices. Remember, we can only tell the difference if we have a monitor that supports HDR. Below we can see the difference.

We will then explain the activation to you.

Go to the start menu and then to settings.

Then select System on the left and Display on the right.

Now just click on HDR and enable this feature.

Adjust graphics cards by application for better gaming in Windows 11

After all, if you have a gaming notebook, you have two graphics. One integrated and one dedicated. In Windows, you can choose which app uses which graphics card.

To do this, click on the start menu.

On the left side we need to select the gaming option and then on the right side select the game mode.

Now click on Graphics in the new window.

In the new Graphics area, you can use the app to select which graphics card is assigned.

This is an automatic process by default. However, an adjustment is possible.

However, you can easily get even more graphics performance in games with these tweaks. In fact, one of the best tricks to get the most out of Windows 11.

Enable ransomware protection

Go to the start menu and type ransomware in the search. Now on the right-hand side after the Ransomware Protection option appeared, select Open.

Now and where it says Controlled Folder Access, enable the option.

As you can see, it’s very easy and worth it.

Switch from a Microsoft account to a local Windows account

To do this, click Find Windows 11 and start entering settings. On the right, click Open.

Now select the Accounts option on the left. Then click on your details in the new window.

Now just click on Sign in with a local account in the new window instead.

In the meantime, you’ll need to confirm that you want to sign out of your account and confirm your identity. Then simply define the local account details.

Move the taskbar up

So go to Windows Search and type in regedit. After the right, click Open to open the application.

In the meantime, a window will appear asking us if we want the application to make changes to our device. Click yes.

Now we need to go to the key Computer HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer StuckRects3.

Now change the value we have marked, i.e. 03, which is directly below F3, to 01. Then click on OK.

Now we need to go to Task Manager to restart Windows Explorer.

So use the key combination CTRL + ALT + DELETE. Then select Task Manager.

When you open Task Manager, click More Details and you will see everything that is running.

Now look for Windows Explorer and right click on this process. Then select the Restart option.

The menu is now displayed at the top. However, notifications and even options when opening the Start menu appear the same as before. It’s just the bar to move from the bottom up.

So you already know that you can quickly make this adjustment in a minute. If you want to undo the operation, follow these steps again. However, enter 03 again in the value under the VU that has 01.

Back to the Windows 10 start menu

First, go to Windows Search and type in regedit. After the right, click Open to open the application.

In the meantime, a window will appear asking us if we want the application to make changes to our device. Click yes.

However, we have to go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER Software Microsoft Windows CurrentVersion Explorer Advanced.

Now right click on the Advanced button, go to News and select DWORD (32-bit) value. A new key called New Value # 1 is created. Rename this key to Start_ShowClassicMode.

Then set the key value Start_ShowClassicMode to 1.

Close regedit. At this point, you’ve already changed the Start menu to Windows 10. So the option will be available the next time you restart. Now, however, you need to choose what to do with the menu and icons. If you want to keep them centered, you don’t have to do anything. However, if you want to line up on the left, there is something else you need to do.

Right click on the system tray. Then select the System Tray Settings option.

Now click on the taskbar behavior on the right.

Now select Left in the taskbar orientation.

Close the settings menu and restart your computer.

How to change the default browser in Windows 11 preview

It’s true that Edge is one of the best browsers out there. Especially since it is based on the Chromium engine. However, there are many other great options on the market. So we have people who like Chrome (the vast majority), Firefox, and Opera more.

First, click Find Windows 11 and start typing settings. On the right, click Open.

Now select the Apps option on the left. Then select the Default Apps option on the right.

Then select the browser you want to use by default in Windows 11. For example Google Chrome.

Click the .htm option. Then select the Switch anyway option. Then select the Google Chrome option.

Then click the OK button.

Repeat the above steps for html, pdf, shtml, svg, webp, xht, FTP, HTML, and HTTPS files.

After following the steps above, the default browser is less than Windows 11.

It’s true that the process is a little more boring than if we had done it in Windows 10. However, in the final version of Windows 11, it will be like it was in 10. It has to be a little more complicated right now.

Galaxy S22 Ultra relies on “water drop” cameras

Despite all the rumors that point to a delay, it looks like it won’t be long before Samsung announces its new Galaxy S22 range of smartphones! That range, which of course will have the flagship, is the new S22 Ultra.

Well, we are about 3 months away from the official launch, but today we already have access to some renders that show us a lot of what Samsung has developed in its laboratories. Especially in the area of rear-view cameras.

Galaxy S22 Ultra relies on “water drop” cameras

So in the S22 Ultra space, we’ve had some design conflicts, with some experts pointing to one side while others pointing to an entirely different side.

But … it is very likely that this is the way. At least according to Super Roader, a well-known South Korean source in the smartphone world.

In short, Samsung wants water drop cameras on its S22 Ultra. Interestingly, this all seems to pay homage to LG Velvet.

This means we won’t have an “island” of cameras as usual, as Samsung prefers a more similar design to that already used in the Galaxy A range of smartphones.

Obviously, the cameras of the S22 Ultra will stand out more due to the size of the sensor and optics used. After all, smartphones like the A32 do not have lenses designed for zoom, while the S22 Ultra will have two telecameras with 3x and 10x optical zoom.

As already mentioned, the waterdrop design reminds us of the very curious LG Velvet. A smartphone that tried to differentiate itself from anything we could find on the shelves. An excellent idea! With LG pulling out of this market, Samsung can use its disappearance to differentiate itself from other brands.

Matrix: Morpheus won’t return because he died in a game!

If you’ve reached your expectations of seeing Matrix Ressurections, you’ve probably seen the trailer a couple of times already! Once a year the saga was in theaters without grace. This trailer shows the return of Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity), but leaves out Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus).

This is where you’re probably thinking that the actor turned down the role, or that the project team thought she was too old or out of shape to get back into the saga. But the reason is a lot simpler and actually a lot more silly. Morpheus is dead in the Matrix universe!

Morpheus is not returning to the Matrix because he died in an unknown game

So we have known since 2019 that Morpheus would not be back. But of course there is always a glimmer of hope in the hearts of real fans. And indeed, seeing a Matrix without that character turns out to be an incomplete experience for all the potential that return brings to the table.

But let’s get down to business … What do you mean?

Well, the actor had to answer that question himself and said:

  • “I’m not in the new film. You have to ask Lana Wachowski why! I have no answer to that question. “

This gives the impression that the actor wasn’t even addressed. Do you know why? Morpheus died in an almost unknown game called Matrix Online.

Matrix Online is an MMO spin-off that was released back in 2005. Interestingly, this game had the big goal of continuing to tell the story of this legendary saga.

Well, during the game that takes place after the events of The Matrix Revolutions, Morpheus returns to the Matrix to speak to the Oracle. To be clear, you understand why Neo’s body was not returned from the machines despite the apparent truce between the two parties.

Frustrated by the events, Morpheus tries to virtually restore Neo in order to somehow revive him. A project that fails and results in the character going straight to the machines to recover the body of “The Chosen One”. A request that is again denied.

After all of this, Morpheus turns into some sort of terrorist who detonates “code bombs” all over the Matrix in an attempt to force the machines to comply with his request. However, this only resulted in the appearance of “Assassin,” a machine-created program to eradicate Morpheus from the face of the earth.

In short, the new Matrix is a sequel to the original saga, and since the game is “Cannons” there is no Morpheus for anyone.

Apple will also be releasing a new MacBook Air … With Notch!

In case you didn’t know, according to several recent leaks, the MacBook Pro 2021, which was to be announced later today, is going to have an entirely new design that requires us to insert a “notch” that is very similar to what we can do can be found in Apple iPhone smartphones.

Well, this “notch” will not only reach the “Pro” models! It will also be included in the new MacBook ‘Air’ 2022.

Apple will also be releasing a new MacBook Air … With Notch!

Shortly after accessing the Internet, it appears to be a disassembled MacBook Pro 2021 with a “notch” integrated into the screen. See, we now have new rumors suggesting that the MacBook Air 2022 has the exact same glitch on the screen. Incidentally, that should be the biggest change in the design of the popular Air, at least at first glance.

If you forget about the “notch”, everything indicates that the MacBook Air will have some small changes that could improve the look of the whole package. Brings it closer to the new Pro model.

However, “Notch” doesn’t offer the same functionality that we find on the iPhone. In other words, forget about Face ID. The module has an FHD camera, a TrueTone sensor and a microphone. Only and only that! There is no face recognition for anyone. Ah … and the size of the “notch” is the old, not the current size of the iPhone 13.

With the manufacturing crisis already reaching Apple’s production lines, the new MacBook Air is not expected to hit the market until late next year, with mass production starting sometime in the third quarter. In other words, if you happen to have a new generation MacBook in 2021 or 2022, you will most likely have to go for the “Pro” … When there is stock.
