Microsoft has released an update for the weather app and is already available in the Microsoft Store, but only for Windows 11. The update brings the weather app to version 4.53.33420.0 and comes with design improvements and also the start menu.
Windows 11: A new version of the weather app is available!
Right from the start, as soon as we carry out the update, we are entitled to a new design. In fact, we have something more in line with the Windows 11 user interface: the buttons on the new Weather app in Windows 11 have rounded corners, the fonts are larger and thinner, and the controls on the settings pages have been updated.
However, when you add places to the Start menu, the name of the city is displayed. That way we can more easily see which zone the app is referring to.
We also have a lot of improvements and bug fixes.
As I said, this new feature is only available to Windows 11 insiders for the time being, but it should reach everyone soon.
But who will also have news later, is the operating system itself.
Windows 11 will be celebrating its anniversary in July 2022, and at that time, users are entitled to a very special gift. It’s a super update with a long list of improvements that have been requested by people who are already using the new operating system. The update comes under the name Sun Valley 2 and really promises a lot.
Windows 11 Sun Valley 2 or version 22H2 will be a version with many improvements. They ensure that the operating system is faster and more modern. In addition, you have greater WinUI integration. To do this, new native applications have to be added.
However, the most obvious improvement in Windows 11 in 2022 will be the ability to drag shortcuts to the system tray. Is this the worst change in Windows 11 and has even led to a lot of talk. But that’s not the only change. At the moment the famous bar is still hanging at the bottom of the screen. But that too will soon change. This is mainly due to user feedback.
There will also be improvements in the start menu. It will be possible to publish more apps on the menu and even recommendations.
It’s not just about aesthetic changes, however. In fact, others are in there too. They ensure more speed and stability. We also have improved definitions.
Other new features include support for more widgets, especially from third-party providers. So far it has only been Microsoft’s, including Microsoft To-Do, Weather, News and Interests.
Do you want to access the messages in the system tray now, but don’t want to wait until July?
The Windows 11 taskbar does not support drag and drop. In other words, we can’t drag a file into an app in the system tray to open it like we did with Windows 10. While this seems like a minor matter, it confuses a lot of people. After all, we got used to it for a long time. Thanks to an app, this much sought-after function for the Windows 11 taskbar is now back!
The Windows 11 drag and drop app to the taskbar (fix) fixes the problem and adds this functionality.
It is active in the background and has a great advantage.
It doesn’t change any registry keys. In fact, you can only change one, but only if we choose to start automatically. In addition, it does not inject DLLs into other processes. In other words, it turns out to be a very isolated, secure, and portable solution.
The program recognizes whether we press the right or left mouse button and checks which application the mouse has over it. If the cursor stays in the same area for a certain number of milliseconds, it simulates the Win + T combination and the arrows to restore the desired window. This application supports multiple screens, autostart and has many configuration options. Now, if you want to install it, you know it’s available here.
The taskbar was a topic that was talked about a lot in Windows 11. This is because Microsoft made many important features disappear. Moving the bar from the bottom up or sideways is still the same as the other. Now removing some features like the one resolved by this application was without a doubt a huge mistake.
Of course, many people get used to the lack of these features. For others, however, change is complicated.
