Michael is the second oldest of four children born to Michael Landon and his second wife, Lynn Noe. He has three siblings, Leslie, Christopher, who is also an actor, and Shawna.

Unfortunately, little is known about Michael’s early years and education, despite becoming a Hollywood star.

His acting career began as a teenager and appeared in one of the episodes of the hugely successful TV series “Little House on the Prairie,” in which his father was the leading actor.

Years later he portrayed Benjamin “Benj ‘Cartwright” in the television movie “Bonanza: The Next Generation” and played the same character in two other films, “Bonanza: The Return” (1993), for which he also wrote the screenplay, and “Bonanza” under attack “(1995). After that, he no longer focused much on his acting career, instead promoting all other cinematic skills.

He made his directorial debut in 1991 with the documentary “Michael Landon: Memories with Laughter and Love” and eight years later he directed the film “Michael Landon, the Father I Knew”. He then developed a number of television films, the first of which came out in 2003, the romantic drama “Love Comes Softly” with Katherine Heigl, Dale Midkiff and Corbin Bernsen. The film had four sequels, “Love’s Enduring Promise” (2004), “Love’s Long Journey” (2005), “Love’s Abiding Joy” (2006), and “Love’s Unfolding Dream,” all of which he wrote and directed, with the exception of this one final part when Harvey Frost was hired to direct as Michael was working on another drama “The Last Sin Eater” that starred Louis Fletcher, Henry Thomas and Liana Liberato. Two years later Michael made the animated family fantasy “The Velveteen Rabbit” and in 2011 he made another TV movie “The Shunning” which continued to increase his fortune.

His next creation was the television film “The Confession” (2013), a drama based on the novel of the same name by Beverly Lewis, which is a continuation of the previous film “The Shunning”.

Since 2014 Michael has been working on the TV drama series “When Calls the Heart” (2014-2017) about a young school teacher who leaves the big city to teach in a small mining town.

He has served all of his creations as a producer, but has also added several titles to his name, such as the drama “Saving Sarah Cain” in 2007, then the western “Love Takes Wing” (2009) and its sequel “Love Findet a Home” in the same year and most recently the family drama “Heaven Sent” (2016), all of which contributed to his fortune.

In terms of his personal life, Michael has been married to Sharee Gregory since 1987; the couple have three children together.
