The Democratic Congress campaign committee chairman responded to Kyle Rittenhouse’s ruling with a statement that contained significant factual errors, and a senior adviser to the committee tweeted “no justice, no peace.” Rittenhouse was acquitted of all charges relating to the fatal shooting of two men during the riot in Kenosha, Wisc. last summer after the police shot Jacob Blake.

“It is disgusting and disturbing that someone could carry a loaded assault rifle to protest the unjust murder of Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man, and kill two people and injure another – with absolutely no consequences,” said DCCC chairman Democratic MP Sean Patrick Maloney said in a opinion Friday.

Jacob Blake was paralyzed by the shooting, not killed, and actually armed with a knife. The policeman who responded to the domestic disturbance call that led to Blake’s shooting has not been charged by either the state or the federal government, following investigations.

“I realized I had dropped my knife, had a small pocket knife. So I picked it up after I got off him because they fingered me and I fell on him, ”Blake told Good Morning America in January, admitting he was armed at the time of the shooting.

A second version of the DCCC statement was later Approved this referred to the “unjust shooting of Blake” and removed claims that he was killed and unarmed. The statement, tweeted by Dyjuan Tatro, DCCC’s senior strategic public relations advisor, says that Rep. Maloney’s statement “is not mincing words”. It leaves out Maloney’s previous false claims that Blake was unarmed and killed.
