Nintendo Switch has long dominated the console market. After all, before the next-gen consoles were launched, Switch had a record of 33 months at number one among the UK top sellers.
The PS5 managed to steal space for some time, but it seems that the Switch OLED’s arrival was short-lived.
OLED switch is nothing pro. But things are booming for Nintendo!
With the arrival of Nintendo Switch OLED, Japanese giant rivals Sony and Microsoft have returned to their sales throne. After all, according to NPD Group’s Mat Piscatella, the hybrid console has tacitly returned to number 1 on the table as it was the console with the most sales and, of course, brought more cash into the coffers.
So for now, PlayStation 5 is still the console that generated the most sales, but Switch is now the best-selling console. (in 2021)
Doug Bowser (President of Nintendo USA) has already commented on the numbers: “We see this as an excellent start for the Nintendo Switch OLED. And of course as an excellent indicator of what to expect in the coming Christmas season. “
The market is on the move, but it is very likely that the production crisis will show its face again in the last few months of the year. In the end, it was more or less confirmed that Sony had to cut production a bit, which Microsoft and Switch are probably also emulating. In short, if you want a console for Christmas, your best bet is to go to the nearest store.
