Nick Kygrios has withdrawn from the Australian Open warm-up tournament in Melbourne due to asthma.
Kyrgios was due to play against Slovak Alex Molcan at Melbourne Park on Tuesday evening, who returned to competitive tennis late last year after receiving knee surgery.

But a lucky loser will now replace the 26-year-old Australian in the main field.
Kyrgios, who slipped to number 93 in the world after a quiet 2021 season in which he only played 15 games, received a wildcard for the ATP 250 tournament.
He’s also got a wild card for next week’s Sydney Tennis Classic.
Kyrgios has rehabilitated and trained his knee in Canberra over the past few weeks.
