In case you didn’t know, there is an external graphics card (GPU) in the form of a simple stylus called mClassic that, in short, has the great mission of enhancing the graphics experience of games on any console.
Yes, we’re talking about a product that has actually been on the market since summer 2019, but is only now gaining a bit of popularity. It is currently available for all regions of the world.
Let’s see what that is?
There is an external GPU designed to enhance your console’s graphics experience!
Therefore, the external mClassic GPU is an inline graphics adapter that can be connected to your console either directly or via an HDMI adapter. The idea is to guide the image signal through the “pen” and then select one of the three available operating modes “Scaling Off”, “Scaling On” and “Retro”.
In other words, in ‘Scaling Off’ mode, the original signal from your console is passed through the pen and reaches your TV or monitor completely unchanged. With ‘Scaling On’, mClassic processes all pixels, improves the resolution and the anti-aliasing technology. Finally, Retro Mode aims to implement several improvements in image processing while maintaining the game’s original relationship.
In terms of price, the small graphics card costs around 75 euros.
Obviously, it won’t improve the graphics of your PS4 or Xbox One until a next-gen console. But at a time when it is so difficult to get your hands on a PS5, any help is welcome.
Besides, what do you think of all of this? Is it an appetizing product? Will buy? It is worth noting that this is a product aimed more at the new wave of “classic” games that have appeared on a wide variety of platforms, such as Switch and its library of NES, SNES and Nintendo 64 games .
