The most popular Parisian it girl is back in town. Emily’s second season premieres in Paris on December 22nd – and Lancôme is celebrating with a new beauty collection inspired by the show’s star and French luxury brand ambassador Lily Collins.
When the first season of Emily in Paris Airing in 2020, it quickly became a hit – it reached 58 million households in the month after its debut, and garnered an Emmy and two Golden Globe nominations. The Netflix series with actress Lily Collins in the lead role and its production follows the marketing director Emily Cooper, who is starting a new life in Paris.
Lancôme celebrates the premiere of the second season in the coming week with a special beauty collection “Lancôme x Emily in Paris”, which includes make-up and skin care. After all, Collins has been the Lancôme ambassador for eight years. “I have always admired Lancôme’s loyalty to its ambassadors and customers. I don’t think I expected a company as big as Lancôme to feel so small; it really feels like family, ”she says.
The limited edition collection offers everything you need for dewy skin, strong lips and intense eyes all day long: a 12-piece heart-shaped eye palette (with chocolate brown, pink mauve and smoky silver), the Advanced Génifique Serum and lipsticks in creamy rose beige and classic matt red.
We spoke to actress and Lancôme Ambassador Lily Collins about how she uses beauty items from the collection, her self-care routine and her feelings for the community …

You are the face of Lancômes Advanced Génifique Youth Activating Serum. How do you incorporate Génifique into your routine?
I love the serum and I love the hydrogel melt mask that I use whenever I have a big job, travel or just feel like I have a spa experience at home. They are the most wonderful things. I also started using the Advance Génifique Serum with my foundation. I add a few drops with the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation and mix everything together. It just glides on for a very light look but with great coverage.
Are you a mascara enthusiast?
This may be a pretty obvious statement, but as an actor, you feel through your eyes first. It doesn’t matter what you say, as long as you are present and awake and emotional through your eyes, anyone can understand your state and the emotions you are feeling. So emphasizing the eyes is something I always have to do.
Have you been practicing more self-care lately? What did you do?
I totally have. I think self-care can take many forms, be it therapy, meditation, reading a book, or having a great cup of coffee. We couldn’t go out and get our nails done or go to the spa. Instead, I found this joy in wearing a face mask, taking a bath, taking a walk in the open air, reading a meditation book in the morning, and writing a gratitude journal. And just take a moment for myself. I think it’s easy to confuse the fact that we had so much time at home with self-care time, but it’s not the same thing.
You are openly committed to empowering women. Do you care about this matter?
Yes, and I think it starts with me. Because when you feel empowered, you can empower others. It is the same as when you are not comfortable and confident and love yourself, you cannot be the best version of a partner or sister or brother, friend or co-worker.
Community is important to you. Tell us about it.
It’s very important and I think that can mean a physical community, but it can also be an emotional or spiritual community. Community is when you connect with people who are ready to share and be there for you and vice versa. I think when you have a strong sense of community you can be the best version of yourself because even when you are feeling down you have the support to lift you up. This makes you feel part of something bigger.
