I’m a celebrity … get me out of here! helps Channel 10 win Monday night ratings – but the audience is still smaller than the 2021 premiere

The premiere of I’m a Star … Get Me Out of Here! delivered solid ratings for Channel 10, despite being the worst-rated opener in franchise history.

Monday’s episode drew 1,049 million viewers nationwide, including 794,000 from the five major cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

The show delivered the highest ratings in prime time for Monday evening on the free-to-air channels.

The next show behind I’m a Celebrity was A Current Affair with 607,000 Metro viewers and then ABC’s Outback Ringer with 543,000.

I’m a celebrity who ranks first in all of the major demographics overnight: 16 to 39, 18 to 49, and 25 to 54.

It also increased the audience from 10 to first place for Monday.

While 10 is usually in third place behind Nine and Seven, it led both stations at night with a network share of 26.4 percent.

Seven took second place with 25.8 percent and nine came third with 23 percent.

It wasn’t all good news for 10 though, with the opening episode drawing the lowest ratings for an “I’m a Celebrity” premiere since its inception in 2015.

Last year’s premiere had 1,031 million Metro viewers.

There were also declines in Viewership in important demos compared to last year’s opener.
