Google really needs to bring a Pixel Watch to market. Fast!

Google needs to start forgetting about partnerships and doing exactly what it did in the smartphone world in terms of smartwatches. In other words, if the mobile world giant really wants to compete with the Apple Watch, it has to bring a Pixel Watch to market. There is no turning back!

In case you didn’t already know, there are already around 100 million Apple Watch watches in the hands of users. A number that deserves respect given that it is not only a third of the American population but also a watch that requires the use of an iPhone.

In other words, it is a smartwatch that is not available to any user in the smartphone world. In fact, the watch is so good that it is often seen as one of the perks of buying an iPhone. In short, Apple has an ecosystem that compliments each other, which is not (yet) happening on the Android side.

Yes, the Wear OS has developed a lot in 2021 thanks to the partnership with Samsung, something that we were able to experience with the Galaxy Watch 4. But in my opinion, Google shouldn’t limit itself to what Samsung wants to do. He should “take the ox by the horns” and go his own way. After all, the Pixel Watch, which “leaked” on the internet last year, appears to be superior to the Apple Watch in many ways, both in design and in some of its core functions.

By the way, the Android market is so desperate for a good smartwatch that the first Pixel Watch could even be weak! As long as there was a serious bet from Google, consumers would support the project until the end.

In short, Google lags behind in the world of smartwatches, well … actually … lags behind in all wearables. But the game is not over yet, Google can resume the project and finally show what Wear OS must be and be able to with the right hardware. Just what it did with the Pixel smartphone range, and it has been done with the Nexus range in the past.

Apple is taking over the watch world without competition. And that doesn’t make sense when there is so much money to be made and there is a way to finally add to the Android mobile experience. Disagree?
