Google Play Store for Android is new! Have you found it yet?

The Google Play Store received a new interface in April. The hamburger menu is gone, however, and we now have a redesigned settings page and a new apps menu, among other improvements. Now Google is testing another new feature in the Play Store for Android that adds a fifth tab to the bottom bar.

This novelty was discovered by the 9to5Google website and consists of a new tab “Offers”. With five tabs in the store, it sits between Apps and Movies and TV. Inside, the offer bar brings together the carousels that display offers for games we might like, and apps. It basically gives us an overview of the best deals on the Google Store. However, it is slightly different from the Offers and Notifications page that appears under the profile page.

This offer tab appears to be available to some, but not all. It can be an A / B test. Interestingly, it has nothing to do with the version of the store being operated.

However, it wasn’t just the Android version that had the right to change.

So we have a new web version that is already being tested in some regions and visually represents a significant improvement over the previous version.

The new design, revealed on the Android Police website, is now available in Taiwan and Korea. However, it varies based on the user’s account. The content is spread out more on the screen, which is very positive, instead of putting everything in one central column. The page background is white, the icons are larger, and some apps have a top image that spans the entire screen.

Otherwise everything is in the same place. However, some important elements have changed. For example, the side menu with links to review purchased content, play points, and other information is now only visible when you click on the profile picture in the top right corner.

We also have some minor functional improvements. The media gallery on the application pages now has a scroll bar so you can see everything quickly. However, the main games and apps pages also have buttons at the top that you can use to quickly filter content for your smartphone, tablet, TV, Chromebook, Wear OS, and others.

Big or small, what matters is that even the web version of the Google Play Store is moving. This means, without a doubt, that there is great news and that this version is once again in focus as the hub for installing applications and games on all Android devices. We can now hope that it will reach everyone.
