Fallout series for Amazon is slated to begin production in 2022

Originally announced in July 2020, Amazon has revealed that the production of the series is on Stand out the new year is finally starting.

As reported by Deadline, Jonathan Nolan (Western world) directs the first episode of this dystopian world set after a nuclear catastrophe. The writer Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Captain Marvel) and Graham Wagner (Silicon Valley) will act as the series’ manager.

Stand out is produced by Amazon Studios and Kilter Films, the production company of Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, the creators of the series of Western world for HBO. This in cooperation with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Todd Howard and James Altam will serve as executive producers.

At the moment it is not known if the series is based on a specific game or if it opts for an original story. The foundation of the franchise is that it takes place after a nuclear war, where the US stagnated aesthetically in the 1950s. As the first survivors to appear in the vaults after years, they encounter all sorts of dangers and aggressive mutants.

It’s one of the largest action / RPG franchises in the west and the second largest Bethesda banner after The Elder Scrolls.
