DDR5 RAM came onto the market a few weeks ago, unfortunately at high prices and with extremely low stocks. However, since technology doesn’t take a break for anyone, it’s time to look to the future … And what a future!
DDR7 memory is 500% faster than new DDR5
As a result, DDR5 RAM has only recently hit shelves, and to be honest, it is still far from its full potential. After all, it is very likely that DDR5 RAM will offer speeds of 7,200 megabits per second over time. Do you think that’s brutal? This is nothing compared to future DDR7 RAM.
All in all, DDR6 memory should offer a 200 percent improvement over current DDR5 memory, and it looks like we’re going to have a new, hugely attractive 500 percent improvement over speeds that DDR5 memory has not yet achieved, and it should not arrive there until late 2022 or early 2023.
In short, while DDR5 memory with OC at the top should come close to 8,400 MT / s, DDR6 memory should hit 17,000 MT / s. However, DDR7 memory can have the potential to reach 32,000 to 42,000 MT / s.
In addition, this memory will already have a function called “real-time error protection”. Which in turn should be the next step for ECC technology.
