Craig Revel Horwood will strictly miss the show after testing positive for Covid

Craig Revel Horwood will be absent from the Strictly show this Saturday night after testing positive for Covid.

It is hoped the 56-year-old judge can return next weekend with a Strictly spokesman who says, “Craig Revel Horwood has tested positive for Covid-19 and is now isolating himself under the latest government guidelines.

“While Craig won’t be participating in Strictly Come Dancing this weekend, he will return the following week if all is well.”

Viewers have to guess who could replace him on the panel, but he may not get replaced at all.

It could be that each of the celebrities will be tagged 30 instead of the usual 40 on Saturday.

It could be the first time Craig has missed a Strictly show since first joining in 2004.

He is the only remaining original judge and the first to resign due to a Covid infection.

The new coronavirus regulations this year mean celebrities infected with the virus can continue to perform after a week of outage.

It’s a very different story from last year as the strict regulations on set resulted in Nicola Adams and partner Katya Jones being forced to retire after Katya signed Covid.

This year, candidates Tom Fletcher and Judi Love both missed a week after meeting Covid.

Strictly Come Dancing star Dan Walker hit angry fans Sunday night after viewers again accused the show of being “fixed” or biased on the BBC for escaping the dance.

Many fans complained that Dan Walker and dance partner Nadiya Bychkova should have been in this dance – and some even went so far as to say they should have gone home.
