Buying DDR5 RAM is now almost impossible

As you may know, DDR5 RAM has only just hit the market thanks to the standard support provided by the new Intel Alder Lake-S platform (Core 12000), but it seems that Intel took an ingenious step when it allowed for its super-fast memory standard , but also the old ‘DDR4’ standard. After all, it’s now almost impossible to get your hands on a DDR5 memory kit.

Buy RAM memory

So, how we reported DDR5 RAM hit the market expensively this morning, and it seems that the many manufacturing difficulties will make these kits even more expensive, but most importantly, much more expensive than expected before it gets cheaper.

But calm down … the truth is, according to new information, even if you are willing to spend the money on it, it will be really difficult to find a DDR5 memory kit. Do you know why? This is due to the PMIC (Power Management Integrated Circuit) chip, which is a bit more complex, much more expensive and apparently very difficult to find nowadays in the new standard.

To get a feeling of rarity, you have to wait AT LEAST 35 weeks if you want to order a new batch of PMIC chips. In short, on top of the ridiculous price increases for graphics cards, motherboards, CPUs etc … Now even RAM is getting more expensive. That is, unless you continue to use DDR4 memory! To tell the truth, at this stage of the championship it is almost always faster compared to the new standard.

Besides, what do you think of all of this? Have you already bought or considered buying DDR5 RAM? Or did you already expect this situation? Please let us know what you think in the comments below.
