In case you don’t remember, the RTX 3060, which should be the cheapest RTX 30 graphics card in the range, hit the market about 9 months ago. A graphics card that should have hit the shelves for just over 300 euros, but of course it quickly became available for 600 euros, then 700 euros, and up to 1000 euros in some markets. It was crazy!
However, some graphics card manufacturers have developed systems to avoid these phenomena, as was the case with EVGA, which created a kind of “queue” to ensure that some gamers can get their hands on these cards at the recommended price from the manufacturer.
Buying an RTX 3060 for € 329? It is possible! if you wait 9 months
Well, after about 9 months, one of these cards, which can still be found for around 700 euros, has arrived at one of the people registered on the EVGA platform. Which proves something … EVGA knows what it’s doing. But perhaps even more important is that it is still possible to buy plates at the “normal” price, you only have to wait about 9 months, exactly as long as a person is developing in the womb. Little thing!
Interestingly, this raises another question … Why is EVGA one of the few manufacturers that uses a queuing system? It’s very easy! Demand greater than supply makes values rise, and well. Unfortunately, very good people have recognized that there is a lot of money to be made in the world of graphics cards. Because gamers are willing, one way or another, to pay the price asked by manufacturers or stores.
