The two-day conference will take place in the Zaloni Club

The Prime Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, held an 18-hour security marathon that went from district to district on the law and order in the state. The meeting, which started around 10 a.m. yesterday, ended at 4 a.m. today.

“The first Day of SPs conference, which started at 10:30 am yesterday, just ended at 4:00 am. This 18 hour marathon was intense, with detailed presentations from SPs / Addl SPs. We are committed to providing our people with a technologically advanced, citizen-friendly police force, ”Mr Sarma tweeted today.

The two-day conference, which will be held at the Zaloni Club, will be attended by over 100 high-ranking police officers, including 94 police commissioners (SP), additional police commissioners (ASP) and subdivision police officers (SDPO) representing 34 districts.

“To deal with the changing nature of crime, our force should adapt quickly to new technology. I am glad that the Assam police have made good progress in recent months to create a citizen-friendly atmosphere and at the same time to massively fight the criminals. By gradually getting out of the ‘PSO culture’ and recruiting enough workers, we should create an atmosphere of security in which, ideally, no one needs a PSO for the next 2-3 years, ”said the Chief Minister.
