Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Liverpool POSTPONED, Maitland-Niles to Roma ARRIVED, Aubameyang “Offered to Rivals” LATEST

Good morning Arsenal fans

Arsenal’s league cup semi-final first leg against Liverpool has been postponed after a significant Covid outbreak at the Merseyside club.

Jürgen Klopp’s team yesterday applied to the EFL to cancel the game after an increase in cases.

The German is currently self-isolating and missed Sunday’s 2-2 draw against Chelsea.

Klopp’s number 2 Pep Lijnders was on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge.

But he will be missing now even after he tested positive himself.

And up to FOURTEEN new cases are said to have surfaced in the club.

Arsenal are reportedly set to loan Folarin Balogun to Middlesbrough in the meantime.
The 20-year-old forward has made four appearances for the first team this season but Arsenal would like him to gain more senior team experience.
And talks between the Gunners and Middlesbrough are now at an advanced stage, reports The Express.

That could mean Balogun will join Boro by the end of the season until the end of the week – and he could be available for the FA Cup clash against Mansfield.
