The latest processor series from Intel (Core 12000 Alder Lake-S) is enjoying success with both reviewers and consumers, as they are already sold out everywhere. What is clear is that it seems to have pulled a bit from AMD, which in turn will only get an answer in the form of the Ryzen 6000 in January or February 2022.
What is to be done until then? Simple! Lower the price of the current Ryzen 5000! After all, the Intel Core 12000s are really fast, but they also require a large investment from consumers. Especially if you choose one of the great technological innovations, DDR5 RAM memory support.
AMD Ryzen 5000: Price Cuts On The Way!
According to VideoCardz, one of the largest online retailers (MicroCenter) has already significantly reduced the price of its inventory of AMD Ryzen 5000 processors – a strategy that should be adopted by all regions.
We’re talking about real discounts! In the end, the “bestseller” AMD Ryzen 5800X fell by ~ $ 150 and now costs $ 299. This while the AMD Ryzen 9 5950X with 16 cores and 32 threads also brought in $ 100. The cheaper Ryzen 5 5600X also suffered a drop in price, but in this area it was only around 20 US dollars.
That has not yet arrived everywhere. But it’s a matter of time
In short, if you are looking to buy an AMD Ryzen 5000 processor in Portugal or even Spain, you will find prices that are very different from the above. But it’s a matter of time. After all, Intel has not yet managed to bring its new processors onto the market in large numbers. In addition, it has not yet brought the full range onto the market, whereby we have to point out the Intel Core i5-12400F, which should be on the market for just over 150 euros. A ‘budget’ CPU that should surpass the Ryzen 5 5600X in terms of performance for just under 300 €.
