Alien: Isolation is considered to be one of the best games in the genre of all time. It was first released in 2014 for Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Now anyone who’s a fan of Ridley Scott’s movie saga can get their hands on a version of Alien: Isolation for iOS and Android. By the way, you can download the game from December 16th.
Alien: Isolation is coming in December for Android and iOS!
The new Android and iOS versions of Alien: Isolation are owned by Feral Interactive, the same studio that brought the game to Nintendo Switch in 2019. The same for macOS in 2015. I remember the Switch version got a rating of 83 out of 100 Metacritical, so the mobile version should be an excellent conversion.
Set 15 years after the events of the original 1979 Alien film, Alien: Isolation follows engineer Amanda Ripley as she investigates the disappearance of her mother, Ellen Ripley (the protagonist of Alien). It’s mainly a stealth game where you have to dodge an alien using tools like a motion finder and a flamethrower.
Feral Interactive says the game will cost $ 14.99 in the US, € 14.99 in Europe and £ 12.99 in the UK. Not bad for likely hours of fun, especially given the full support for external controllers.
The game list on the App Store is now available. However, you need iOS 14.8 or higher and 11 GB of storage capacity. Feral does not yet offer a pre-registration page on Google Play for Android devices, but this should change soon.
In any case, it’s good to see great titles finally arriving on mobile platforms, even if they are conversions from games released in the past.
