This genre took its first steps in computers in the 1990s with interactive story games that real actors used, but whoever was playing it chose the direction of the plot. The story takes place after the events of the second game (from 2011) and puts the player in the role of the inquisitor. The Orlais Empire is caught in a civil war that is making all of Thedas unstable. In this scenario, the protagonist becomes a kind of messiah and must restore order and peace while facing an unknown threat.

6. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (2015)

The game has several philosophical questions for the player to reflect and every decision made leads to a path. By choosing to resolve conflicts based on conversation, an outcome is achieved. If you balance the dialogue with a few fights, there is another ending. Solving everything in ignorance comes up to a third option.
Undertale encourages you to play more than once and even uses the cache memory to “remember” your actions from previous games, which makes the experience even better.

4. Until Dawn (2015)
In a classic horror story, 10 young people spend a weekend in a hut. After a bad joke goes horribly wrong, twin sisters Hannah and Beth fall off a cliff. Years later, the eight survivors return to the place, but strange things begin to haunt their whereabouts.
The game allows you to play with all of the protagonists, and your choices help shape the relationship between each of them. 2. Detroit: Becoming Human (2018)
This is another Quantic Dream hit that tells the journey of three androids into a dystopian and high-tech future. One of them is Markus, an artist robot who rebels against humanity after tragic events in his life. The other is Connor, a police agent who feels torn whether he’s acting like a human or a robot. The third is Kara, a housewife who has that maternal feeling awakened by the human Alice, the daughter of her alcoholic and chemically dependent owner.
In the game, it is possible to control the three characters that will eventually meet, but the final goals of each of them will vary depending on the choices made along the way. In other words, anyone can live or die in a wide variety of situations.

1. The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes (2021)
The newest title in the line of horror games and decisions from Supermassive Games has risen to the rank of one of the best. From start to finish, every decision is important, so the decisions made in the first few hours only have an impact at the end of the plot. Additionally, the game entices the player into betraying, surrendering, and even killing the other characters, but this is not always true.
The story takes place in the 2003 Iraq War. In an underground temple in Mesopotamia, the five protagonists must find a way to survive, but their choices can be fatal and perhaps not all of them make it out alive. The whole atmosphere of the game is still reminiscent of horror classics like Abyss of fear, Alien, the 8th passenger and Predator.
